The National Coordinator, Concerned Advocates for Good Governance, CAGG, Barrister Olusegun Bamgbose, Esq.; Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, Mele Kyari and activist, Deji Adeyanju, have all reacted to the death of Abba Kyari, Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari.

The Presidency announced the death of Abba Kyari on Friday night, saying that he died of the ravaging novel Coronavirus. He died at 82.

Senior lawyer, Bamgbose, had earlier predicted that President Buhari would appoint a new Chief of Staff.

He had projected that Kyari’s death will bring a stop to cabal at the presidency, adding that power is transient.

Expressing shock over Kyari’s death, Bamgbose said those in power should learn their lessons, noting that the ex-Chief of Staff will not be buried with a dime.

In a chat  the Lagos-based legal practitioner said, “The death of Abba Kyari came as a rude shock, even though I did predict that a new Chief of Staff to the President will be appointed soon, I never knew he would die.

“The bitter truth, however, is that power is transient. We shall be remembered for what you have done. I want to believe his death may mark the end of cabbalism in the presidency.

“This should serve as a lesson to people in power that life will certainly end sometime, someday. Money Is Not Everything, MINE. He will certainly not be buried with a dime. What an awful fact!

“His death should serve as a lesson to all people in authority, that life is ephemeral. Money is never a defence when death knocks.

“Public officers should ensure they serve the people. Service to mankind is very important. We came with nothing and we shall vacate with nothing.

“I believe his death should spark off positive developments in the presidency. It could have been Buhari or anyone else in the presidency. This sad development should stimulate President Buhari to do more for Nigerians.”

Also reacting to the news, NNPC boss, Mele Kyari prayed for God to forgive Kyari’s sins, describing him as a ‘truly good’ man.

Quote
“May Allah forgive Mallam Abba Kyari and have mercy upon him. Was a truly good man, profoundly faithful and loyal to our country,”
he tweeted.

For Deji Adeyanju, Convener of Concerned Nigerian, he believes that the news of Kyari’s death should be a note of warning to those looting the nation’s treasury dry instead of fixing the medical and other infrastructures.

He noted that a time came when Kyari could no longer travel abroad for medical treatment.

Quote
“I hope those already stealing Coronavirus money will stop and begin to do the right thing. Abba Kyari died here in Nigeria, unable to travel for medical tourism. FIX OUR HEALTH SECTOR and the country now,”
he tweeted, adding, “Stop looting Nigeria dry.

So he even die in Nigeria upon all the power and connections not to talk of money.
Nigeria politicians are so rudely stubborn that they will only observe his death for few weeks before returning to their looting like nothing happened.
May his soul rest in peace

Those praying and asking God to have mercy on him, I hope you know that there is no repentance after death! Those of you still looting and setting offices on fire should learn now and repent while it is still day, because night cometh when no one can work!
