My brother u dont have to blame anyone for this, the white man has commited no crime. If u are civilized enough u should know that this is a normal thing. U are free to go to the UK, US, Brazil, Japan etc, and take pictures and videos of things happening in those countries both good and bad then post it on youtube or better still give it to a television station to air it. If u are fortunate enough to always watch BBC or CNN u will notice that they even show more of good things from naija more than bad things. Its unfortunate that at this time there are bad things happening in naija more than good things and whichever one it is must be aired.

Please contain ur anger, stop raining in abuses it will never help. what u fail to realise is that the government is aware of the white man's mission which is not illegal. we have democracy in naija, there is freedom of speech, freedom of movement and association. if u strangle the white man as u said what will the outside world say of our young democracy. Naija is not North Korea, Cuba or Vietnam, we have passed that stage, what we should do is to improve on our economy, environment and justice system after that i bet u it will be difficult for any media to report bad about naija

The BBC World programme was an interesting one, but the magnitudes of the Nigeria State's problems were so huge that Gov Fashola has to use a combinations of radical approaches by involving grass root youths who are unfortunately found themselves ingrained with thuggery as away of survival, but by involving them to achieving sanity in the Lagos environment are the best way out. Mind you, the MC kingpin is a calculated and open person, and he has fit himself in the perceptions of the environment to stay above the odds stake against him, because the Nigeria State entirely, no matter whatever town or city, is so bastardised, corrupted and de-humanised by the past military leaders, that it would take a whole lengthy period of time before dignity, respects, and sense of belonging can restores to the entire country. The programme exposes human potential wastage and the struggle of innocent people and loss hope in the Nigeria state. And its bring out in the open that Nigeria State shall require a radical solutions to tackle most of the long over due huge problems confronting the country in economic, political and social improvement. And above all, the programme brought out in the glaring open that Nigeria State has a serious security problems and has a lots more to be done before guaranteeing security to her citizens. And addition, the population growth are at a phenomenon level; that is growing at an alarming rates and the government is weak in the provisions of basic social services for her citizen adequately.

The Lagos state and Nigerian Government are fools I am sorry to say. This is not the first time the BBC is showing Lagos and Nigeria in a bad light.
First a few years ago, it was LAGOS AIRPORT, then they showed the guys making a living from the DUMP and now this.
If you ask me I think they have run out of ideas on what to show from abroad and as such they go for the soft touch which is Lagos Nigeria.
There should be a way of regulating these foreign broadcasters. It is becoming boring and i'm getting fed up with these programmes!
They will not show the run down areas in their own communities.
Has any bothered to ask what the purpose of these programmes about Nigeria is - There may be a hidden agenda here!
Is Lagos the only city in world?. Is it worse than the the SLUMS in India and others in south Asia?
Yes we have problems in Nigeria but this is just disproportornate negative journalism trying to score a cheap point.
If Loius Theroux really wants to show how people live he should go and film in NORTH KOREA and see what will happen to him!
Yeye people BBC.

I greet all the commentators on this concerned topic, for standing and defending as true Nigerians.
the BBC reporter, Loius Theroux was out of journal ideas.  the white, especially the British always classify themselves as superb humanbeing, but at this stage, the BBC has shown Nigerians how poor the station is established and functioning on air.  To report such event is not a crime, if not how to present such report.  I am not saying the report should be bias, but to be technically reported.  Because it is a technical report.  The BBC baby-reporter forgot to add the history of the state and the nation at large and compare to the present situation of Lagos State.
What was the economy, social and political situation of the state in four decades ago?
What was the socio-economic situation of Lagos state before and after Governor Tinubu's regime?
What was the geographical situation of the entire Lagos State, especially Oshodi Area when Obasanjo was the President and Tinubu as the Governor?

The British dog should have done a thorough research before coming on air. Lagos State has been doing her best to position law and order since 1999 and they are still on its.  Positioning law and order led to establishment of several security agencies like KAI etc.
Truely there is law in Britain, but it is full of disorderness.  Britain is recording the largest drug traffickers, Automobile snatchers, official prostitution, gambling, abortions, etc Britain is a land of hypocrisy.[

if the documentary is political,  then the brain behind the scenerio should be ashamed of him/herself.
Regarding international history,Britain is a shameless father of Nigeria.  BBC needs a lot of matured programmes to run on their dogs called JOURNALISTS, EXPLORERS etc..  I am not ashamed of what you said about my country, but ashamed of our leaders and Britain at large.  i stay in Osogbo, Osun State and i could see the rapid development of Lagos State at the term of Fashola.
bi kii baa se, omo osan lohun ko pounpo ba iya e..
I wish Governor Fashola more success.

My friend i have read ur previous post and now this one. Please if u can't get ur facts right, u should not confuse people with ur incoherent utterances. U said (The BBC baby-reporter forgot to add the history of the state and the nation at large and compare to the present situation of Lagos State.) Maybe u dont watch the BBC frequently, this year alone they have shown 5 different documentries of the good works of Gov. Fashola. So u want them to help hide the bad side of Nigeria. U said Britain records the highest number of car snatching, drug trafficking, prostitution etc. I wonder where u got ur ridiculous statistics. Infact I am appalled by ur comments.

I do not know where you watched the documentaries showing the good works of Fasola. The fact is that they do not broadcast good news as well as bad news and this is due to the fact that GOOD NEWS DOES NOT SELL IN JOURNALISM!! so they secetly say to themselves "let us go and bash those Nigerians again"and they come up with some crazy idea for a documentary.

News stories all over the world unfortunately have a habit of focusing on the shocking things that happen everywhere, not just in 9ja. http://www.fbi.gov/news/fieldnews Cheesy corruption everywhere! i wish this man would give news stories of the abundant beautiful things and stories in 9ja, not just the bad things. perhaps some of you are good enough with a cam to do this? I would certainly love to see them. President Goodluck Johnathan has his work cut out for him fixing the corruption, and I pray every day that he is successful!  EVERYONE must do their part to assist, so that the BBC one day has no dirty stories like this to air.

i have said it several times on Facebook...... asking to whose benefits the programme because is being long, showing this called welcome to Lagos.

if lagos has "agberos" area boys, London also has gangsters. "oluomo" case is far better than Raul moat that took them to a standstill for several days killing innocent people likewise police officers.i believe the officer blinded by Raul moat will prefer Lagos to Newcastle where he became handicap on duty.

ask him to do a thorough findings in London and that of Lagos.then,he will realise each state has its own problems which needs to be solved.
