Nollywood actor Williams Uchemba has given scholarly advice on why #EndSARS campaign needs a leadership structure.

According to him, anything without leadership will die and fizzle out, adding that, if the protesters fail to select a leader, the movement will be hijacked.

Writing further, he stated that a leadership structure in the #EndSARS protest would ensure there is focus, strategy, negotiations, execution and evaluation.

He wrote,

“Anything without leadership will die and fizzle out. It might have began organically but it needs leadership for focus, strategy, negotiations, execution and evaluation.

If we get carried away with our emotions and not put a proper leadership structure in place, this movement will be hijacked and when that happens, we have no only failed our generation but might not be given a golden opportunity such as this, to change our nation for good anytime soon.”

In another post, the actor wrote an open letter to the government addressing issues relating to the ongoing nationwide protest of the youths calling for an end to police brutalities among other biting issues faced by the populace.

The actor wrote:

Dear Nigerian Government,

I know you’ve been wondering the people championing this protest, I know you’ve been asking yourselves why the protest is still going on after agreeing to do everything the Nigerian youth have asked, I know you been asking and investigating who the leader of this protest is and how you can stop this new movement that has been on for days now. Well in case you don’t know this protest is no longer about ending police brutality ( as that is just one out of ALOT to address), this is about the pain and frustration the Nigerian citizens have been going through for years, this is about the over 40 million people who after four or five years of schooling can’t find a job, this is about people that their loved ones died in the hospital over a very little issue because of the poor health care system, this is about people that after working for years can’t even have access to their pension money, this is about new business and entrepreneurs the Nigerian government have Frustrated because of all the unnecessary charges on a baby business thereby shutting the business down, this is about years and years of living in darkness when every year we hear about the billions and billions of naira that is put into the electricity system in this country, I could go on and on to tell you why this protest is happening, I can tell you for free that the people have had enough and have woken up in Unity with one voice and you can’t break that because POWER BELONGS TO THE PEOPLE. #restructureNigeria #giveusbasicamenities

I support his words! Without a leader, any business is very vulnerable and can end prematurely.

I also support this statement! Being a leader is a great responsibility and a great opportunity. In college we had a task to write what we would like to change in ourselves, what qualities to acquire. I think I need more leadership skills, but I don't know how to get them. I used additional info to write that writing and for my own thoughts. This resource helped me in writing, so I recommend it to you! I hope this will help many students.
