Senator Shehu Sani has criticized Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State over the levy he placed on bread in the state.
In a shocking new move, Bello announced the levy so as to “protect indigenous bakers from those who bring bread to the state without paying any form of levy”.
The move has attracted widespread criticism from Nigerians including Shehu Sani who took to Twitter to take a swipe at the governor
“After defeating COVID in Kogi, Bello the priest is miraculously turning bread into stone,” the former lawmaker representing Kaduna Central wrote.
Gov Bello has yet to respond to the jibe.
