depending on ur definition of inlove,
one u must love person before u can accept him or her.
u must appreciate,encourage,love doest mean only the other way around
hope no one will be close friend to his or her hater or enemy

Yes of course it's very possible i have female friends that very close to my heart they do tell me stuffs that their BF dont even have idea about but in the other hand i will say it depend on the kind of person sha bcs not every guy or gurl is willing to be just friends
