Nigerian singer and songwriter, Simisola Ogunleye Kosoko, alias Simi has penned a note to upcoming female musicians in Nigeria.

The ‘Duduke’ crooner, in a series of tweets, wrote on the struggles and challenges of female musicians in the country.

The mother of one highlighted the fact that female artists have to work twice as hard as their male colleagues just to get the same level of reward and exposure.

The singer further explained that the Nigerian music industry is designed to favour male artists and their mediocre craft over the sweat, blood, and sacrifices of female artists.

She finally motivated them to refuse to give up their values even after facing a lot of challenges.
