A tweet by Presidential aide, Bashir Ahmad has stirred reactions on the microblogging platform, following the category Twitter placed his post. Ahmad, in a tweet seeking to promote the nation, described Nigeria as a great country. While speaking on the heels of Twitter choosing to locate its African headquarters in Ghana, Ahmad welcomed Facebook for choosing to establish an office in Nigeria.
The personal assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari quoted a tweet by Facebook last year, which stated that it intended to open an office in Lagos. ”Welcome to Nigeria, a great country”, he tweeted.
However, Nigerians on the Twitter took notice of how his post was tagged under the ‘Funny Tweets’ section.
