Under this Covenant we don't do Violence but instead teaches love and faith. By teaching this then we learn how to forgive and if there are any fights to take place we know that it is not Physical but Spiritual. No humans can fight Spiritual warfare, so we put it in prayers in the hands of God through his son Jesus Christ, which is more capable than us. We worship in the Spirit because it is the Heavenly Father who fight, feeds and protect us. Well those who worship and doeth His will, He will offers His fatherly duties to.
Now the Old Testament is to teach us who God is so that we can fear Him and abide by the Covenant of Jesus Christ LOVE. What a lot of us fail to understand is that our Heavenly Father is a Spiritual Being and He only thinks like a Spirit which is pure and just. At the time when He was killing, He was seeing the SINS (SPIRITS) and not the Humans. If you read your bible further you will see when He stop doing this because He realized that He was killing His own creation. So He placed them in bondage and not killings. Hugs and blessings
