D’Tigers honor the great Sound Sultan with these warmup shirts for their preOlympics game vs Australia. He was a basketball enthusiast.

Nigeria’s basketball squad D’Tigers have decided to honour late music icon Sound Sultan with Warm up kits in which he appears within the map of Nigeria.

Sound Sultan passed on to glory on Sunday, 11th July 2021 at the age of 44. He is remembered as a pace setter when it came to music as well as a lover of the game of Basketball.

He previously played basketball for the Dodan Warriors.  In 2015, he partnered with investors and purchased shares in the Lagos Islanders basketball team. Afterwards, he became a facilitator of the African Basketball League and was one of the special guests at the first NBA African Games.

After the fallout of the African Basketball League, the veteran singer sealed a deal with the organizers of the Continental Basketball League to become a team owner of the Lagos City Club, and a facilitator of the league’s entertainment.
