There was a fatal accident in the Ilesa-Ife expressway on Sunday evening, leading to the loss of two lives and seven others injured.
The crash which occurred around Royal Farm, Tonkere axis of the road involved a white-colored Toyota Hiace bus with registration number AGL708XD and a white-colored MAC trailer with registration number JGB470ZT.
Information made available by Agnes Ogungbemi, the spokesperson of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Osun Sector Command reveals that 23 persons were involved in the accident while seven were injured with two recorded deaths, adding that the deceased were both adult males.

She also revealed that the probable cause of the crash was over-speeding and road traffic violations.
Ogungbemi stated that the injured victims were taken to a private hospital in Ipetumodu, while the corpses were taken to the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital Complex (OAUTHC) morgue by the command’s rescue team.
