Some suspected rapists on Tuesday night raped and killed a young female trader in Makurdi, the Benue State Capital.
It was gathered that the incident happened in the North Bank axis of the town.
The victim Joy Onuh Ogochuckwu was said to be a graduate of the Department of Mass Communication, Benue State University, Makurdi.
According to Solomon Enenche and Afaga Mary who are her neighbours, she received a strange call and went out to visit the caller Tuesday night only for her dead body to be discovered Wednesday morning.

She only went out yesterday evening (Tuesday night) to deliver clothes to some ruthless men and was raped and killed at the north bank,” a source said.
Another source who spoke with our correspondent said that the victim was supposed to go to NYSC camp today (Wednesday) before she was raped to death.
She was supposed to go to (NYSC) camp today (Wednesday). So, she received a call to deliver some things (clothes) that’s how she didn’t return home again. She was raped and killed,” the source who claimed to be her coursemate
Efforts by our correspondent to get Police comment proved abortive as a spokesperson of the Benue State Police Command could not be reached as at the time of filing this report.
