The Nigerian Army has reportedly arrested and detained a female soldier who was caught on camera kissing her boyfriend, a member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), after he proposed marriage to her in Kwara State.
The female military officer had gone viral on social media after the corps member went down on his knees and proposed marriage to her at the NYSC orientation camp in Kwara.

In the video, the excited female soldier was seen kissing her heartthrob after she accepted his proposal and flaunted her engagement ring amid cheers from corps members.

Instagram blogger, GossipmillTV, shared a voice note indicating that the soldier has been arrested and detained in a guardroom where she is facing the consequences of her action.

Some outlined reasons for her apprehension include: “Not due for marriage, Romancing on uniform publicly, Absent on parade, Indiscriminate behaviour, Doing other things aside from her purpose in NYSC camp, Disobedience to the standing order of social media rule, Disobedience to ethics and tradition of the Nigerian Army.”
