Mother in laws

do you think that the current status of a mother in law is correct? When many of the mother in laws hate the spouses wife, and treat her incorrect. The stress on the relationship causes the love to sour, and both parties become resentful. This occurs especially when the man refuses to check his mother about her negative behavior. The situation can work in the opposite direction as well, in which case the women's mother becomes upset and doesn't like the husband. Families can be separated based on this negative outside influence. What do you believe?
