Vigilante Member, Sylvester Arrested By Police For Killing A 22-year-old Man, Femi In Delta

A vigilante member identified as Sylvester has been arrested by the police for allegedly killing a 22-year-old man, Femi, in Sapele, Sapele Local Government Area of Delta State.

The incident was said to have happened in the early hours of Wednesday, March 16, around Ofotuku Road in Ugwanja area of Sapele.

According to a report, some persons were watching a traditional worshippers dance festival in the area when the alleged killer suddenly emerged and shot the young man dead on the spot.

“His vigilante colleagues wasted no time in arresting him and taking him to the police station and as I speak to you, he is behind the bars while investigation will be carried out.” an eye witness said.

The corpse of the victim has been deposited at the Sapele Central Morgue.

A member of the community claimed that the suspect and Femi had a misunderstanding a long time ago and Sylvester allegedly threatened to deal with him.
