wow, there is waaaay too much ignorance here.  So this is now about Igbo vs Edo.  This makes me remember something a little personal. My mom is an Igbo woman and she refused to a man that she liked, he was good and all that, everything perfect. She refused to marry him because he is  from Edo state even though both of the do not live in Nigeria and she is quick to remind me that I should not marry someone from Benin and how bad they are.

My mom is an intelligent woman, not because she is my mom but she is and even with all of that she still has this very backward mentality what I sure has something to do with what she learnt while growing, what her parents told her, and the experiences she has had with Edo state people but I'm sure she has also had good experiences with them (because she is still friends with the guy) but when you think that way you do not see the good of anything other person/people do even if it is in your face.

What happen to their individual character or beliefs? Every group has is good and bad, there are good Edo people, they are bad Edo people... they are good Igbo people, there are bad Igbo people. Igbo people have very bad stereotypes as well. Why judge a group of people by only the negative things and make is true for everyone else in that group?  Sad thing is we pass this backwardness to our children, who pass it to their children...  We cant even get along as Nigerian, and its grown people doing this.
