Confusion in PDP Camp As Report Denies Tambuwal’s Resignation, Makinde’s Appointment

Reports that Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party Governors' forum, Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwual has resigned has been debunked.

 
The Director-General of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors’ Forum, CID Maduabum has dismissed the reports.
 
Reports had emerged on Thursday revealing that Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State had emerged as the new chairman of the forum following the alleged resignation of Tambuwual.
 
Reacting in a statement to journalists, CID Maduabum described the reports as untrue.
 
According to the director-general of the forum, Tambuwal will continue in his position while the party works towards resolving its crisis.
 
The statement reads: “This is to inform the general public and stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party that the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party Governors Forum (PDP-GF), Rt Hon Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, CFR, has not resigned as Chairman of the Forum contrary to some media reports.

“Members of the PDP Governors Forum are working behind the scenes to resolve all contending issues concerning the Party.

“To this end a meeting of the Forum will soon be convened.”
 
Also speaking, the PDP National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Debo Ologunagba said, “It is not true as at this time, I have no information that he has resigned and if he has resigned, I will be in the best position to know.

“Right now, there are procedures for resignation that’s why when the BoT chairman resigned it was communicated to me and I released it to the public.”

   Wike don't ever  give in. Let the  crisis go on. Nonsense.  After 8 years of disaster  they are fighting to  put another  heartless  northerner there. God forbid.
