A female inheritance bill which would see Abia women inherit and own properties in their father’s family, has been signed into law by Governor Okezie Ikpeazu.

Ikpeazu who congratulated women over the bill which now has a law citation of ‘The Female Persons Right of Inheritance of Property Law 2022’, said his administration would continue to support women.

Also appreciating the state assembly for the courage to pass the bill, the Governor promised that his administration would lean on the side of reason and common sense in the discharge of its obligations to residents of the state.

Ikpeazu who also described the bill as historic, added that women would no longer be treated as second-class citizens even in their families.

Igbo is your addiction. Whenever you hear Igbo, you get so high that you lose your senses. I have been to the North, I never heard that they treat women right, I never saw them treat women right, they don't give property to women too. And the Governor to sign a law protecting women and giving them a sense of belonging is an Igbo man, not a Northerner, so what the fvck are you saying? Why don't you concentrate on the forced marriages in the north? the molesting of infant girls in the name of religion and marriage. Mortalities arising from early pregnancies and numerous other deadly crimes against women committed on a daily basis by Northern men, and shamelessly supported, and protected by their senseless Sharia religious law? If you are really civilized, or have been to the places you say you have been to, those should be your area of primary concern. Remove that log of wood in your eye first.

Wetin pain who? well, I have just one sister. 1 among 3 boys, successful boys. We buy property for our only sister. In fact right now, she is the one taking care of and living in my fathers (RIP) house in the city, a massive 2 storey building. I only want you to remove the log in your eyes. Violence against women dey learn for southern Nigeria compared to Northern Nigeria.
