Appeal Court Judge Lokulo-Sodipe Slumps, Dies In Ondo

An Appeal Court judge in Ondo State on Monday slumped and died in his office in Akure, the state capital.

The judge, Lokulo-Sodipe, was said to have slumped in his chamber while planning to sit over a case.

He was said to have been confirmed dead after he was rushed to the hospital.

Confirming the demise of the 67-year-old judge, the Chairman, Nigeria Bar Association, NBA, Akure branch, Banjo Ayenakin, described the demise of the judge as shocking.

According to him, the deceased was a quintessential and intelligent judge, known for being forthright.

“I commiserate with his family and the President of the Court of Appeal, Nigeria.

“The entire members of NBA Akure will surely miss his promptness, forthrightness and commitment to the development of Justice in Nigeria.”
