The police in Lagos State have begun an investigation into the assassination of a couple of Engineer Femi Egbeoluwa and his wife in the Allen Avenue
area of the state.
The couple were reportedly killed by yet-to-be-identified gunmen between last Friday night and early Saturday, who gained entrance into their home at 1 Adefolu drive, Allen Avenue.
The couple’s s household was also attacked by the yet-to-be-identified killers, who left her in a pool of blood.
A police source, who pleaded anonymity, while speaking with the Nigerian Tribune said” The man is a chief from Ilaro in Ogun State .”
He added that ” “We got the report on Saturday. The man and his wife were assassinated, while their housemaid was also injured.
The image maker in charge of the state police command, Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed the incident to the Nigerian Tribune.
The police spokesperson stated that the investigation is ongoing though no suspect had been arrested in connection with the incident at the time of filing this report.
Hundeyin said ” Investigation is ongoing. Policemen have visited the scene. The house help was found unconscious but she is responding to treatment now in the hospital
The case has been transferred to the homicide section of the state Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, Yaba. SCID,Panti. No suspect yet.
