In follow up to the story of 10-year-old "cobbler boy" Hameed Mojeed, the Nigerian boy that engages in the repairs of shoes to sponsor his primary school education, I was touched by the comments of all Naijapals members on that post and I said to myself that we could actually make a difference in this young boy’s life rather than having pity about his situation.

The objective of this mission will be to raise atleast $1,000 for Hameed Mojeed to help him further his education. I believe collectively we can make a difference in Hameed Mojeed’s life just by donating a minimum of $1 we will make an impact and be the change we want to see in our nation Nigeria.

To further put my words into action I will contact Francis Falola (of the Punch newspaper) who interviewed Hameed Mojeed so we can present the token to the boy and send a message that we care after the donations have been collected.

Please NP members note that this boy is not a beggar nor has anyone persuaded me to do this it is totally voluntary on my part and I urge you to also give it a thought and pass on this information to your friends.

To kick start am donating $100 to this cause and have set a 7 day timeline for more donations to be accepted and I will make sure to give constant updates on the progress been made regarding this matter and be solely accountable for all transactions during and after the donations.
