It is true that everyone who is planning a wedding should sensibly CUT THEIR COATS ACCORDING TO THEIR SIZES... But Bro, come on you and I know that 3.15 million naira is an extravagant spending, just for a wedding. Come on man, I'm sure you can agree with me on this.

OK, Good. Now i am convinced that 600K will do the job very good. I hope folks in here whom are planning for a wedding soon learnt a valued lesson from all the responses from fellow NaijaPals. Do not spend extravagantly just for a one/two day event because you might end up getting into deep depth OR you might not be able to feed your family afterwards especially if your first kids come in Triplets like my bro is expecting.
Have your brother do a traditional, go to court or to church and have the wedding and everybody go home.  It should be less than 100,000 naira.  He uses the rest of the money to raise his triplets.

3.15 million is a lot of money.  The only thing that we did not like was that the inlaws hoarded the drinks and the food to themselves.  We would have preferred that the food was given to the entire community that was hungry after the event.  The inlaws invited too many dignitaries to the occasion as well.  We would have preferred to have had  small wedding, but the mother in law was way too extravagant.

I never said there was no money OR that we are starving. I am saying that a reasonable person shouldn't spend more than a million buck to have a great wedding. You know one thing about folks that have too much money, well they think they have too much money, is that they would rather buy that thing that cost 500,000 when they could actually buy the same dang thing from another store for 100,000.

satisfy ur inlaws with there demand, and the church where the wedding will takes place, and ur marriage clothes, the rest is party, and the party depends on you the celebrant, some people use keke na pep as their lemosin, some use car, some use jeep, it all depends on you, but my advice for u is don't marry and end up paying debt.
