Nigeria, Christopher Olusa Graduate Moves To Break World Record For Longest Speech Marathon

Christopher Olusa, a young graduate, has announced his desire to break the Guinness World Record for the Longest Speech Marathon by an individual, The Nation reports.

Christopher said he aimed to leave a lasting legacy that celebrates the power of words and inspires individuals to make a difference.

He is scheduled to hold the “From Words to World Records” marathon on September 11, 2023.

The current record holder of the longest speech marathon which was 90 hours and 2 minutes was achieved by Ananta Ram in Kathmandu, Nepal from 27 to 31 August 2018.

Ananta started at 6:15 a.m. on August 27 and finished at 12:17 a.m. on August 31, 2018.

He maintained a silence for almost seven days before starting the attempt as a part of his preparation for the longest speech attempt.

Speaking at a press briefing in Akure, Christopher said he had an unwavering passion for the cause of change and the relentless pursuit of knowledge.

“From past and present world leaders to influential individuals who have left an indelible mark on our world, I will draw wisdom and inspiration from their words.”
