of Rivers State House Of Assembly (8 members) loyal to Sim Fubara has impeached the Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Hon. Martin Amaewhule and appointed Ehie Edison as the new Speaker.

All 23 LGA Chairmen of Rivers State have also been sacked by the House of Assembly headed by the New Speaker.
