• Osisikankwu

Soldiers attached to the Special Military Task Force on Internal Security in Abia State, codenamed ‘Operation Jubilee,’ on Tuesday killed four suspected kidnappers in Aba, the commercial hub of the state.

Unconfirmed report has it that one of those killed was the third in command to the late kidnap kingpin, Obioma Nwankwo a.k.a Osisikankwu. However his name could not be immediately ascertained.

The hoodlums had on that fateful day, within the Umungasi axis, allegedly kidnapped a lady and took her to their hideout in an evil forest in one of the communities in Osisioma Ngwa Local Government Area.

It was also gathered that as soon as the incident happened, people around contacted soldiers of the special task force who swung into action and went after the kidnappers. On getting to the forest, the hoodlums, on sighting the soldiers, opened fire and shot indiscriminately. The soldiers were said to have responded and in the ensuing cross fire, all the four kidnappers were shot dead while their victim was rescued.
