The Nigeria Police Force says it has commenced the trial of three men claiming to be police officers attached to Zone 2 Command captured in a viral video demanding for a tinted permit from a motorist.

It said the viral video was posted by an ‘X’ user with the handle @EmmCee_RNB on January 25, 2024.

In a statement by Zone 2 Command Public Relations Officer, SP Ayuba T. Umma, the officers involved are ASP Kenedy Ereoah, Inspector Ademiluyi Adekunle and Inspector Ayo Gbenga.

According to the statement, the officers are attached to Zonal Intelligence Bureau, Zone 2 Headquarters, Onikan, Lagos.

“Contrary to the claim that they were kidnappers, they were headed on official duty but acted unprofessionally,” the statement added.

According to the statement, the officers are presently being tried for flouting the IGP’s directive on tinted permits.

“However, for the purpose of transparency, the command wishes to request the presence of the affected member of the public to contact the Zonal Police Public Relations Officer for further action,” it said.

You already have the evidence needed to prosecute the 3 police men, there is no need for the victim to come forward. Do you want the victim to be kidnap or killed by those bad police men ?  Sad Sad Sad
