Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has enlisted new legal representation to defend him against terrorism charges leveled by the federal government. The trial of Kanu is set to resume at the Federal High Court in Abuja today.
Reports indicate that a fresh team of lawyers, led by Alloy Ejimakor, will assume responsibility for Kanu's defense in the ongoing 7-count charges. The reasons behind the change in legal representation from the previous team led by Chief Mike Ozekhome SAN and Ifeanyi Ejiofor have not been disclosed.
As the court prepares for the trial to proceed, there is a presence of lawyers and supporters of Nnamdi Kanu, indicating significant interest and attention surrounding the case.
