The suspect, Ibrahim Usman, was reportedly captured at Yar'adua quarters, Rimin Kebe, situated in the Ungoggo Local Government Area of Kano State. According to NSCDC reports, Usman allegedly abducted a three-year-old boy from the vicinity and attempted to conceal the child at his friend's residence along the Hotoro bye-pass within Kano State.

Authorities have commended the vigilance of the friend and residents who promptly raised the alarm, enabling law enforcement agencies to swiftly apprehend the suspect. The NSCDC has reiterated its dedication to combating criminal activities and urged the public to remain vigilant and cooperative in efforts to maintain law and order within communities.
