“Akpabio” is trending because the Senator who is currently serving as the 15th President of the Nigerian Senate has been accused by Northern senators of padding the 2024 Budget with over N3trillion worth of projects.

They alleged the projects, which had no locations, were discreetly inserted into the budget.
