Musa, 42, is facing a one count charge of murder at an Ebute Meta Magistrate Court.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the plea of the accused was not taken by Magistrate M.O. Olubi, who ordered him to be kept behind bars till April 5.
He said the court would seek advice from the state Director of Public Prosecutions on the matter before the next date of adjournment.
Earlier, the prosecutor, Inspector Samuel Omoyeni, alleged that the accused hit Constable Iredia Ohamen with charms on January 8, at Meiran, a Lagos suburb, during a fight.
According to him, the deceased went to Musa’s kiosk at 2 a.m. to purchase some items and Musa queried him for disturbing his sleep.
“Fight broke out and the accused allegedly used charms to hit the deceased, who did not recover from the attack.
“The victim later died in the hospital,’’ Omoyeni told the court.
He said the offence contravened section 319 of the Criminal Code, laws of Lagos State.NAN
