In the early hours of Monday, a 28-year-old man identified as Yakubu Yusuf was apprehended for allegedly vandalizing aluminum railings on a bridge near the Old School of Nursing, en route to the Third Mainland Bridge, Lagos.
Officers from the Onikan Police Division arrested Yusuf following a tip-off received around 6:42 a.m. The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Onikan led an anti-crime patrol team to the location, where they caught Yusuf in the act.
During the arrest, authorities recovered 21 long pieces of aluminum railings believed to have been dismantled from the bridge. The suspect was taken into custody for further investigation.
