Seems boys are taught that tears are for weaklings, for gals.......boys are taught that gals are 2nd best to them.....there seem to be double standard in the upbringing of children....

important thing is to protect them from certain exposures that can negatively affect them. This protection is not in hoarding information from them; infact information (as at when due) should be generously given to them. It is also important for them to understand the 'why's of the homilies... when they are told not to do a thing, they should know why that has been said.

Another thing is creating a conducive environment that makes for emotional stability. The girl child is prone to varying emotions and needs a confidant. Often times parents are seen as strict disciplinarians wielding the big stick and this chases the child out to the waiting arms of the wolves out there.

Well, let others say something too...

It will be great if the babes in the house can draw from the rich residue of the experiences that characterized their upbringings and in sharing it with us, install such facets to this discourse as many occasion a balanced outlook.

If you want a child to do something, you have to be sure you arent doing the opposite.....kids learn, not by what you tell them to do, but by what they see you do.......pictures stick faster than spoken words.......

hmmmmmmmmm but mostly nowadays parents want their children to listen to their words and not follow their actions.. so for instance how can an alcoholic/smoker parents convince their children that alcohol/smoking is bad for them?
