growing up to adult *********

Is bringing up girls really that different to bringing up boys? what do they need to know or learn about life and adulthood?

important thing is to protect them from certain exposures that can negatively affect them. This protection is not in hoarding information from them; infact information (as at when due) should be generously given to them. It is also important for them to understand the 'why's of the homilies... when they are told not to do a thing, they should know why that has been said.

Another thing is creating a conducive environment that makes for emotional stability. The girl child is prone to varying emotions and needs a confidant. Often times parents are seen as strict disciplinarians wielding the big stick and this chases the child out to the waiting arms of the wolves out there.

If you want a child to do something, you have to be sure you arent doing the opposite.....kids learn, not by what you tell them to do, but by what they see you do.......pictures stick faster than spoken words.......
