Lagos Police officers attached to the Area C Command, who were accused of extorting over N1 million from National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members, have returned the money to the victims.
This development was disclosed by Oluyemi Fasipe, the X user who initially brought the matter to public attention. Fasipe expressed gratitude to Lagos Police spokesperson Benjamin Hundeyin and NYSC officials for their swift intervention, which led to the refund.
While the return of the money brings relief, Fasipe also emphasized that the trial of the involved officers is still pending. He called on the public to remain watchful as the case moves forward, underscoring the importance of accountability within law enforcement.
