Officers of the Nasarawa State Police Command have apprehended four suspected armed robbers and recovered a stolen vehicle, according to a statement by the command's Public Relations Officer, DSP Ramhan Nansel, on Sunday.

The suspects, identified as Salim Hussaini, Abdulkadir Musa, and Dimas Danja, were arrested by operatives from the Mararaba ‘A’ Division, while another suspect, Mohammed Aliyu Abubakar, was nabbed in the New Karu area. The police recovered a fabricated rifle, a knife, and criminal charms during the first operation.

A blue Toyota Camry with registration number RBC 980 DA was also seized from Abubakar, who resides in the Mabushi area of Abuja. According to Nansel, the suspects confessed to being members of an armed robbery gang responsible for terrorizing the Mararaba area and surrounding communities.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Umar Shehu Nadada, has urged the rightful owner of the stolen vehicle to visit the New Karu Area Command with proof of ownership to claim the car.

This operation is part of ongoing efforts by the Nasarawa State Police to curb crime and ensure the safety of residents across the state.
