
A suspected accomplice of bandits, Musa Abdulai, has been arrested in Ekiti State for allegedly supplying food items to criminal groups hiding in the region's forests. The arrest was made by the Ekiti State Amotekun Corps on Monday, October 7, 2024.
In a press statement shared with *Daily Post* by Officer Adeleye Abiodun, the Head of Communications for the Ekiti Amotekun Corps, Abdulai, a 35-year-old indigene of Sokoto State, was apprehended at around 6:30 p.m. in the Oritan Forest Reserve, located in Ise/Orun. Abdulai, who resides in Shasha, Akure, Ondo State, was caught during a patrol by local Amotekun operatives.
According to Officer Abiodun, the suspect confessed to supplying food items to individuals suspected to be Fulani/Bororo bandits hiding in the area.
Exhibits found on Abdulai included a sack bag filled with food supplies, which were recovered at the scene of his arrest deep within the forest.
The suspect has since been handed over to the Divisional Police Station in Ise Ekiti for further investigation into his activities and possible connections to criminal groups in the region.
