A man in his twenties, identified only as Mr. Daniel, has been apprehended by the Delta State Police Command following an incident in which he allegedly stabbed a sex worker in Agbor, located in the Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State. The altercation occurred at Apple Inn, a brothel along the bustling Benin/Asaba Expressway, on the night of Friday, October 12, 2024.
Reports indicate that Daniel, a regular patron of the establishment, refused to pay the agreed fee after a segxwal encounter, claiming that the sex worker had not allowed him to ejaculate during their third session. This dispute escalated when the victim insisted that he fulfill the payment, leading Daniel to reportedly grab a knife from the premises and stab her during their heated exchange.
Witnesses at the scene recounted that Daniel inflicted a severe wound, dragging the knife downward on the victim. Following a distress call from nearby residents, police officers swiftly arrived to the scene, where they found the victim bleeding profusely and in critical condition. Meanwhile, Daniel was reportedly on the verge of being lynched by an angry mob.
A senior officer from the Agbor Division confirmed the arrest and stated that a police team was deployed promptly after receiving the emergency call. The police noted that the victim was rushed to a local hospital for urgent medical treatment.
The Police Public Relations Officer for Delta State, SP Bright Edafe, mentioned that he had reached out to the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in Agbor for further information, but had yet to receive an update. As of the time of this report, the victim's identity remains unconfirmed, and her condition is still unknown.
