A tense encounter unfolded between Nigerian Afrobeat superstars Davido and Wizkid at a nightclub in London, as both artists were spotted in the same venue but avoided any interaction.
Videos of the two music icons at the club surfaced online, shared by Adesope Olajide, host of the Afrobeat Podcast, on his X (formerly Twitter) account. Olajide captioned the post: "Davido and Wizkid currently partying in the same club in London....."
The clips, posted around 12:37 a.m. on Saturday, revealed that despite being in close proximity, the two megastars did not acknowledge each other. According to reports, Davido had already been inside the club enjoying his evening when Wizkid arrived with his entourage. However, there was no exchange of greetings between the two.
Eyewitnesses stated that Wizkid, known for his hit "Ojuelegba," left the venue shortly after arriving, while Davido remained and continued partying. The apparent snub has sparked reactions online, with fans speculating about the state of their relationship.
Despite their longstanding rivalry, the two have occasionally expressed mutual respect for each other's contributions to the Afrobeat genre, making the cold encounter all the more surprising. Neither artist has made an official statement regarding the incident.
