The Kaduna State Police Command has arrested three individuals on drug-related charges following a targeted raid in Lere Local Government Area. Police spokesperson ASP Mansir Hassan confirmed the arrests on Sunday, disclosing that the operation, which occurred around 8 p.m. on Saturday, was part of an initiative led by the Commissioner of Police to curb drug activity in known hotspots.

The arrested suspects, identified as Ahmed Sama’ila and Nuhu Ahmadu from Lazuru village, along with Sagir Idris from Mangorori in Saminaka town, were reportedly found in possession of illicit substances. Confiscated items included 114 Exol-5 tablets, 22 sachets of Diazepam, three sachets of Tramadol, several wraps of dry leaves suspected to be Indian hemp, and a sharp knife.

ASP Hassan stated that the suspects would face charges following the conclusion of the investigation. He urged residents to assist law enforcement efforts by reporting any suspicious activities in their communities.
