Bayero University Kano (BUK) has introduced a bicycle loan scheme for its workers to help them cope with the rising cost of transportation.
The university management has provided 47 bicycles as part of this initiative, aiming to ease the financial burden on staff members due to the high cost of commuting.
This move aligns with broader efforts to promote sustainable and affordable transportation options within the university community.
The initiative is expected to encourage more staff to adopt cycling as an alternative means of mobility, reducing reliance on fuel-powered vehicles.
