SECURITY agents are probing what they have called a plot to poison the President, it was learnt yesterday.  A Northern Political Leaders Forum (NPLF) official has told of how he was grilled over the allegation. Mallam Bibi Farouk was arrested last Thursday along with NPLF Secretary Abdulkadir Bello for what the State Security Services (SS) described as personal invitation on some "security issues". But, Farouk, a former National Youth Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was freed on Saturday. He relived his experience yesterday. In a two-page statement he signed, Farouk said he was questioned over a secret meeting in Kaduna by a group on how to poison Jonathan after winning the April general elections. He said the SSS claimed that it had uncovered plans to give Jonathan what might be described as the late President Umaru Yar’Adua’s treatment so that he would not complete his tenure in 2015 before a Northerner takes over.
