is not a surprise that her mother has been pressurizing her,its so common from most mum,if they find out their daughters are showing some sign of maturity..next thing will be,go get married..but in this case,as you pointed out that she would never be ready...she should think twice (1)she is the only child (2) age..coz times are flying so fast nowadays..let her try and reconsider her decision.

hmmm. i think d mother is too worried about the future. she should just let the girl be, let her marry when she is ready and has found the one she loves. if u rush into marriage u will rush out, marriage is not a joke , it is a life time institution, u cannot graduate from it. its supposed to be filled with love. joy and happiness. the mother should leave the girl until she is ready because anythng that happens to her in future she will blame her mother for it.

Hopea23, is she dating or there is guy in her life? well, let her start to think of getting married when she is through with school and if possible get a job and then settle down. Let her not marry anybody that the mother provided for her she should make her own choice but she doesn't want to marry let her stay back and rot.

Finding a good match takes time and patience, so she should start early so that there will be
one available when she is ready. Her parents appear to be looking for grandchildren but
 they forgot that the clock (timelime)  is hers  to keep. She will be married when the time
is right for her.

is not issue of prayer but need to be careful in selecting man,then prayer comes in when she is confused in chosin mr right,i sugets she look for a man to marry before anytin happens to her

I do not blame the mum.....would probably be agitated if I were in her shoes.....she's got only her and she wants a kind of "Insurance".....it's not really the marriage the wants but children and she doesn't want her to have them out of wedlock............
In the other way, the mum should realize that marriage can either make or mar u for life....so her girl needs to exercise some caution in choosing her man.....God has designed a beautiful future for us all but we often times destroy God's plans by being impatient.........They both should just allow God to guide them into making the proper decision......
