Hi pals, This young man who wanted to do traditional marriage but his family was opposing is back again.

His father has asked that he studies the lady more. They have been dating for about nine months and she is the only lady this guy has really fallen in love four years after his first marriage crumbled due to the first wife's unfaithfulness and arrogance. Curiously, his family had been on his neck for marriage and now he has assembled the neccessary finance and found a reliable woman, the family comes up with 'study her more'.
So for how long should one 'study' a fiancée and is the length of time studying someone an effective measuring rod to determine the inner mind of an individual?

@MB, right, but then there should be a time when you need to settle with that person to continue studying in a family home.
Thanks for your advice.

Even when someone is married, both parties are still studying each other, because as days go by, things change, situations might not remain all roses, there's always ups and down in Marriage/family. the study continues. Everything depends on the guy and what target he set to study and time limit, if is positive for him at the time target then he can go on and tie the knot.

But it sounds really awkward to hear that family is dictating for such grown up man what to do in his relationship affairs. Kinda weird  Undecided

@DK, really awkward, but they are not dictating as such. His real problem is getting his people accompany him to the girl's home. He is not depending on any finance from them.

2years is ok

Due to his present job and desire for offsprings, that could be long to bear, also given that he is closing towards four scores.
