other ways of punishing offenders other than execution should be devised. crime is crime....atleast, the person should live to see himself suffer for his mistake other than getting the short route of dying............besides, bosses behind the trafficking just stay safe while the boys suffer. again, some innocent people die for an offence they didn't commit.

This is a penalty imposed on law of a sovereign state that offers no consideration.
Vietnamese government will not change their rule of law on no merits.

for me i can blame this nigerian young guys of committing these crime although is not good to engage in illegal act in other to enrich your self but the blame come from the nigeria government, for me i am living in doha qatar for three years now for what i see so far in qatar is that their government take their citizen as they first priority above any other country their give them all benefit and put in place good program that will benefit every citizen so that is why respect their self and their law my annoyance is that we produce more crud oil than them qatar produce one million barrel per month nigeria produce two million barrel per month so many gas and agricultureg our government are corrupt i think we have to change thins in nigeria so that we will stop losing our future

Interesting, people keep invoking the name of god when dealing with death penalty. What has god got to do with anything about death penalty? Are there so many pitiful people that cannot face consequences for their own actions? The law has already been set. Death penalty for Drug-Related Offences is written on the Visa and Visa application pages and He signed it. It wasn't like hidden. You know that if you break this particular law, you are facing death penalty. Why risk it? If you get caught, what's there to argue? That you don't know? That you’re forced? That you needed money?

This is a very serious issue. I feel very sorry for the young man. There are a lot of things people can do abroad instead of dealing drugs and prostitution. When Nigerians that are not intelligent or educated travel, there is no way they won't engage in illegal activities in order to make money and show off to people back home. I feel really sorry for Nigerians caught in the web of drug trafficking in foreign lands. Nigeria is not America or Britain, so the Vietnamese authorities will do what they want to do with thus guy. Very sad.

Week after week, most Nigerians in Asian countries are caught on drug trafficking.
Everybody knows that Asian countries have to substitute for execution on drug crimes.
Its unfortunate that most Nigerians claim to be die-hard.
Just last  month,Chinese government convicted 3 Filipinos on drug related crimes and they were not spared. They were finally executed by lethal injection.
However, no amount of international diplomacy can save the victim once found guilty.
There are many ways to make money other than drug trafficking.
Work hard & pray more & God will crown your effort.
Don't dare God by drug trafficking! If your caught....that's the end of your story.
If you cant cope in abroad, better go back to 9ja than messing up Nigerian name & image  abroad.

very well said...
