How would u handle the situation if accused of being unworthy

I was wondering how you would handle the situation if accused of being unworthy. Would you just cry and hope it goes away or take the bull by the horn.

Story goes like this; you visit your BF/GF, fiance's/fiancee's or hubby's/wife's people with your him or her, and after you guys go home you start hearing from a reliable source that your better half's family is accusing you of lack of manners, being rude and not properly brought up.

FIRST-no source is 100percent reliable so first hand information is the best.
SECOND-you need to check yourself  because some tribe standard/definition of respect is higher than other tribes
THIRD-if your spouse is not comlaining you should relax your mind
