‘Divers Demanded N.15m to Save Late Politician’

Guys do you guys remember the story of the politician that drowned in a lagoon. this is the latest development..

Did he commit suicide? Did he drown? Or was he murdered? These were some of the questions on the lips of mourners who thronged the graveside of Lagos politician, Mr. Mustain Alade Abaniwonda, at the Victoria Court Cemetery, Wednesday.  He died on Monday in a mysterious circumstance at the Marina Lagoon, Lagos.

Although the immediate family declined to talk, a close family member, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told THISDAY that the deceased had no reason to commit suicide when things were working well for him.

She denied the suicide theory, adding that Abaniwonda could have lived if the divers contacted to rescue him had not insisted on collecting N150,000 upfront from the family before diving into the lagoon.

She said it was painful that such demand was made.

I dont believe that excuse........how much is 150k compared to that man's life?...........but if that actually happened, then it is quite unfortunate that money was placed before a previous life..........RIP sir
