He wants the ban on importation of toothpick so that the price will sky rocket by 400% and he can fleece the Nigerian people.

Competition is the beauty of every market. You can drive the importers away if your toothpicks are relatively cheaper and of good quality.

This was the kind of advise that made cement affordable to Nigerians. Selfish people!!!
Good talk !

Looking up to the whole standard in terms of manufacturing and product we are ineffency but coming to toothpick that is where am surprice this is just one of our poorest natural fenomina, that a small scale industry can handle fully and effencienly our industry has failed

A country that wishes to advance itself should look to produce as much for itself as it can.  Jobs are needed in Nigeria so any initiative that creates jobs and stimulate the economy should be looked at.

controvercial competitive , am not against if the government would react to the request but in  nigeria where our domestic usages ,is 98 percent imported, just go out there and see millions of products made in  nigeria and we nigeria may not caree to buy them unless its written made in china or dubai,
a shoe maker producer that swear never to wear his products, we ve created that love for foreign product
I agree, promote less importation. The less the betta for 9ja
