You see...........your tribal-oriented mind looses control again. When Prof.Wole Soyinka made Nigeria and Africa proud in Literature, there was no TRIBAL acclamations. Also when Koffi Anna of Ghana attained the highest position in the world, it was not Ghana pride but Africa's.
Nelson Mandela, though a South African, is an African pride and figure. Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, etc....... were happy and proud to call themselves Africans and they fought for equality and UNITY especially in Africa and we are proud of them.

Have you imagined how he got the highest vote of all the nominees, if not that all Africans, all blacks and all BLACK LOVING people around the world there present voted for him?



Hmm. Prof Soyinka is no doubt a great Nigerian. But one wonders how much of history and world politics you actually know. Ever heard that Achebe was the one actually going to get the Nobel Prize in Literature in the 1980s? He was only denied because he refused to travel to Europe to "discuss" African literature. He insisted African literature must be "discussed" in Africa.
