In defiance to the curfew in Kaduna state, President of the Civil Rights Congress, Shehu Sani led a-3 man protest of civil rights activits from Gamji gate through Police College, Kaduna prison, police headquarters junction to the popular Lugard hall roundabout where the anti-fuel subsidy protest started in the state.

Sani who was clad in black suit with the president of the Human Rights Nasir Abbas and the Director of publicity of CRC, Comrade Suleiman Ahmad were mistaken by the security men as SSS officials.  At the NTA gate where a combined team of soldiers, policemen were stationed they allowed them to go unquestioned.

A police corporal, Shedrack Dominic who spoke to our correspondent at NTA said they allowed Shehu Sani and his co-travellers to walk through the areas without any harassment because 'they were SSS officials on duty'.

Speaking to newsmen, he said decided to defy the curfew because the state governor lacks the constitutional power to impose the curfew.

“As leaders of this protest, we have chosen to come out today to defy this reactionary curfew. We are quiet aware that we risk been arrested or even shot at by state forces with penchant for extra judicial killings. We are breaking this curfew today (Wednesday) because we consider the curfew as a state violation of our fundamental right to protest.

What is the meaning of this post? so what if Shehu Sani or who so ever went out during the curfew? I also went out and nothing happened to me, really what the state government did was really unfair base on the fact that since this protest start, people have been striving to survive and now the curfew which make things more difficult for people. Atleast one has to go out and look for what to eat.

The meaning of this post is: NAIJA police did not know their work. How can they mistaken a civilian as SSS? Is that how police work in other countries. In USA whether you are FBI CIA a SHERIFF, LAPD or whatever, you have to identify yourself first before anything else. Wearing suit does not necessarily means you are an SSS. All the NP (Nigeria Police not Naija Pals) know is how to shoot a common man for not giving them N20 or for staging a peaceful demonstration. Had it been that that guy is Boko Haram and he was carrying bombs under his suit............just imagine what would happen>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
