I am the last born and i live alone now, but i never put my hands on my son, i just give him this look and he will stop doing whatever it is he's doing..if not then he goes in time-out for 15 minutes. Hitting people is very bad and you can really injure them.

Were all grown up now, but if a child I'm somehow responsible for as a ward so to say, misbehaves and I know, i would punish him or her a little. Most times I just tell them to knock themselves really good, or kneel down or one of those things..
