Nigerian Security breached as Robbers raided Airport.

     Armed robbers, Wednessday night, carted away  US$600,000 (N95, 969, 998.17 million) from a Bureau De Change operator inside  Murtala Muhamed International Airport Lagos.

A source at the airport told Vanguard that the robbers stormed the car park which is usually in darkness and shot sporadically into the air, wounding a woman, before dispossessing their victim of the said amount at about 8.30pm.

The incident, according to the operator who simply identified himself as Salisu took place without any intervention from the security agencies stationed at various locations at the airport.

Salisu said the robbers who arrived with sophisticated weapons traced a Dubai bound passenger that came to change his money into American dollars, adding that the operator ran into the robbers and was disposess of the foreign currency.

Our security agencies are clowns who are only active when they see unarmed fellow citizens. If such robbery incident can happen at the M.M.I.A without any confrontation from the security agencies, then the entire nation is in great trouble..... God help us!

I suspect a foul play here. This must have an inside information for the traceable Dubai bound passenger that came to change his money into American dollars, for the operator ran into the robbers and passenger dispossess of their foreign currency.

the question is why would Dubai bound passenger be going about with huge sum of money in unsafe and unsecured Nigeria of today
what happened to transacting in the banking environment? i thought there is something called e-payment or electronic transfer of money payment be it in local currency or foreign currency. this passenger took a huge risk and now suffered the consequences.
