KLIA Customs deputy director Siti Baya Berahan said the man, suspected to be a drug mule, was held at the airport here at about 11pm Thursday after he had flown in from Lagos.
The man has been admitted to Serdang Hospital where 35 pellets, each estimated to weigh 15 grams of a drug yet to be identified, have been removed so far through excretion, she told reporters.
"The drug pellets were contained in a condom which was wrapped in a plastic sheet," Siti Baya said, adding that the abdominal contents showed up during a scanning procedure.
She also said Customs officers nabbed a 24-year-old Bangladeshi national after finding 6.15kg of Syabu (Methamphetamine) valued at RM1.5mil in two pieces of his luggage.
"The drugs were found hidden at the bottom and in several special compartments in the two bags," she said, adding that the suspect had entered the country thrice so far.
Siti Baya said that on Feb 1, a 38-year-old Indian national was arrested for attempting to smuggle ketamine weighing 7.95 kg valued at RM143,000 hidden in a food grinder.
She said all the three cases would be investigated under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 which carries the mandatory death penalty upon conviction.
